I’m sorry, that bird is literally LITERALLY rainbow coloured. I DARE YOU to find me a gayer looking bird.

And yet somehow the straights have gotten away with naming it the “WHITE-BROWED tit-warbler”

THE AUDACITY????

(no hate to the bird. I love all my fellow gays - especially the smol ones)

Welcome to all of you who recently followed me. It's wonderful to see you all. This is me after 43 years on estrogen (and, of course, 43 years older as well). No more glamour photos for me, but I'm very happy. Have a glorious day, everyone! pic.twitter.com/YgXWQQTDHJ — Teresa Palomar, Your Trans Matriarch (@TeresaPalomar1) July 12, 2023ALT

we DO grow old and happy. btw.

And you find love and it stays with you.

Older women are so, so beautiful, and older trans women are no exception. Celebrate the beauty of our elders! Celebrate trans beauty!

I wanted to share some more of these, specifically trans women of color. The images I’m posting are from a project called To Survive On This Shore and it’s an interview project. I am only posting a handful so it’s so worth checking out!

It was deeply healing to me to discover this project. The site has selected photos and attached interviews and it’s definitely worth your time. I didn’t include any because the focus of this post imo is transfems but there are a lot of beautiful interviews with transmasc people too if you’re interested! But that’ll have to be another post 💖

I highly reccomend checking out a project over on Youtube called The Trans Canada Project. They are a small team of documentarist interviewing transgender and nonbinary folks in Canada in order to spread light on the population and our stories.

I was one of the first interviewees, way back in 2021 (Oh how the times have changed)! And they’ve interviewed nearly 50 folks since then! Many of whom are older, and have amazing stories to share!

I particularly enjoyed hearing Jue Meili’s story, for anybody who would like a starting point :)
