🌿 **Reflecting on the 2nd International Proteine Theme Day - A Day of Insight and International Collaboration** Last week , under the excellent guidance of Fiona Yauw, I had the privilege of participating in the 2nd International Proteine Theme Day organized by Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO). Post-opening, I joined forces with Annemieke Broesterhuizen (RVO), Gelare Nader (LNV), Mathilde Miedema (TNO) and Frank Giezen (Ojah B.V.) to articulate our vision for the Protein Transition. I have shared ours: "Faba for Us: A Vision for a Sustainable Future - where the humble faba bean revolutionizes our food system". The panel discussion was a highlight, where we engaged with questions from the 120 entrepreneurs, partners, visionaries, and change-makers in attendance. The exchange of ideas then, during the lunch and over drinks, was as enriching as it was inspiring. In the afternoon session "Through Feed to Food," led by Gelare Nader (LNV), Rieks Smook (Grassa) and I shared our pioneering experiences with plant-based proteins, from faba beans and grass. The feedback and advice from the participants on our challenges were valuable. The day was packed with sessions on diverse topics: - Insect Business in Africa - for Food and Feed - Opportunities and Developments in Denmark - Protein Transition Map NL & International Protein Strategy: A Win/Win - Growing Together with the German Market - Alternative Proteins in France: Opportunities and Challenges - Opportunities for the Alternative Protein Sector in China, Japan, Singapore - Does the Consumer Get It? How to Reach International Customers?
