Ok some clarification since some people are getting on my balls:
I'm not saying that the character on the left is wrong or anything nor chara on the right.
All that I'm saying is that I don't like getting lazy representation when instead of drawing more than one/actually fat looking fat people we get medium sized character who are only fat because of context.
It's not just stylization goddamn it. When you stylize something it's still have to look like something it supposed to be even when taken out of context. If you take any fat character out of dead end paranormal park/su/Craig of Greek (I don't remember the name, I didn't watch the show only saw screenshots)/she-ra they STILL LOOK LIKE FAT PEOPLE.
STYLIZATION DOES NOT PREVENT FROM DIVERSITY.
I am tired of my partner barely seeing himself in cartoons which are presented by fandoms to represent more kinds of people than usually and then seeing that that claim "body diversity" doesn't go past some body types.
Ohohohoho it's NOT about the art style because once the show needs a villain or a mother role or *character type oftenly represented by a fat character* then it always fits the style.
