Metawiki or Mewiki / Tame

I suggest use Metawiki, Metawik, Mewiki or Tame (meTAwikiMEdia) for the project.--BoldLuis (talk) 10:07, 2 March 2021 (UTC)

What do you mean?
Use an unique (proper) name for the project and avoid the employ of hyphens. --BoldLuis (talk) 10:12, 2 March 2021 (UTC)
For what purpose?
To have an unique (proper) name, as Wikipedia. You do not need to use "Wikimedia Wikipedia". Only say "Wikipedia". Insted of this, there is a lot "metawikis". So you need to say two words to talk about the project "Wikimedia Meta-Wiki" and use a hypen ( - ). It is shorter "Tame" or "Mewiki". We can say: "you / we are in Tame" or "you are in Mewiki". --BoldLuis (talk) 10:18, 2 March 2021 (UTC)
How is "Meta-Wiki" not unique?
It is not. There are other wikis that have metawikis / meta-wikis to talk about the project. Because of this, you use "Mediawiki Meta-Wiki" instead, including an annoying hyphen (originally, the name was Meta-Wikipedia). --BoldLuis (talk) 10:22, 2 March 2021 (UTC)
Why is a hyphen annoying? Could you also point to specific wikis which are known under the name "Meta-Wiki"?
It also happened in e-mail and email [1] and other words. Other metawikis: [2], [3], [4], [5], [6], these last ones about metawiki capabilities and creating a page with pieces of another wiki pages, [7] and so on. --BoldLuis (talk) 11:09, 2 March 2021 (UTC)

Missing Special:MyLanguage

The row <li>[[Wikimedia projects|<translate><!--T:2--> Projects</translate>]]<br> should use Special:MyLanguage, ergo <li>[[Special:MyLanguage/Wikimedia projects|<translate><!--T:2--> Projects</translate>]]<br> --Sabelรถga (talk) 10:58, 18 August 2021 (UTC)

Done. ~~~~

Amharic Wiktionary: Admins, Templates, Counter

  1. I think there's a problem with the counter on the amharic version of wiktionary because I've created about 20 pages (of contents) since November 2 and I've never seen it change the number of total pages. It's a little bit frustrating.
  2. Is there any admin there? I ask this because I don't know where to submit some requests (E.G for bot account or to import xml from other wikt)
  3. Last but not least: is it possible to import or create (if yes how) Translation templates like {trans-top}? Abreham97 (talk) 08:57, 11 November 2021 (UTC)
@Abreham97 Probably not the right venue, but amwikt does not have sysops, and you can add translations on Translatewiki. ~~~~

@1234qwer1234qwer4 (talk) Thanks for the tips. I really appreciated. Abreham97 (talk) 21:29, 11 November 2021 (UTC)

Two Twi wikipedias

There are two Twi wikipedias, one at ak.wikipedia and the other at tw.wikipedia. The first is for the Akan language as a whole; you can choose to write in Asante, Akuapem or Fante. The latter is for Asante and Akuapem, which constitute Twi. In both cases, you need to specify which dialect you're writing in.

Since neither project is well developed (for example, only one has articles on the Sun or Moon), wouldn't it be better to merge them? I don't know if the writers of one are even aware of the other. Kwamikagami (talk) 05:06, 30 December 2021 (UTC)
