@Ignacio.torres:: perhaps somebody else will come up with a more elegant solution, but for now, I can only advise you to go through the regular process of usurpation, using en:Template:Usurpation requested on en:User talk:Itorres. After a week, during which there will be no protest from the old account (since it belongs to you as well), it will be renamed away. Renamers don't have access to logs and login details, so providing those data wouldn't help. — Yerpo Eh? 16:02, 6 June 2018 (UTC)

  • Reason: I requested 'J. E. C. E.' on 16 August 2008 in an e-mail to [email protected], but received no response. As I explained at the time, ". . . the account 'Jece' was created 23:26, 27 July 2006 and I was not allowed to create a simmilar account. The account 'Jece' has made a single log other than creating his account. . . ." At the time I was an IP user, active from at least 30 November 2006 to 27 July 2010. I probably would have requested 'JECE' back then, but ultimately requested 'J. E. C. E.' in my e-mail since I must have assumed that 'JECE' was too similar a username to 'Jece' to get approved. When I returned to editing Wikipedia in November 2017, I again requested the username 'J. E. C. E.' because 'JECE' was already taken by an account with zero edits and there appeared to be no way to usurp an account when you didn't have an account of your own. (I notice now that a new 'Jece' account from the Russian Wikipedia also exists that must have replaced the old 'Jece' account when the Unified Login was introduced. I'm not sure what happened to the original 'Jece' account, but the Russian account has been inactive since 2015. In any case, I am interested in usurping 'JECE', in all caps, not 'Jece'.)
