Ameena

Status:    Done

My SUL account seems to have a bug. I cannot successfully SUL "Ameena" even though I own Ameena (EN Wikipedia) and Ameena (Meta). While attempting to SUL, the following error notice pops up: "The home wiki for this account (listed below) has a different password to the one you entered", when I don't know that password as I don't own that account. Hence I want to usurp the following two remaining accounts:

I understand that direct usurpations cannot be made from Meta if the target wikis has active crats. Hence I will be using this request as a linked reference when requesting from .ar and .de, as I don't know the languages and can't properly explain there. Kind regards. --Ameena 02:18, 22 October 2010 (UTC)

Understood. For your convenience:
Quoting from that section, "Sorry, but User:Lexis has valid contributions. The policy on de-WP is that even a single usueful edit would prevent ursupation, and this user has about 40. And he could reappear one day!" - FritzG, 19:01, 7 August 2010
I hate to be the bearer of bad news regarding de.wp, however. I do wonder what would happen if you tried special:mergeaccount from Meta in about a week, however? Best of luck. Kylu 02:33, 22 October 2010 (UTC)
Hi. Did for .ar in the above method. Already did for .de. And guess what, tried merging form Meta, and it works! Thanks! ;) Ameena 02:50, 22 October 2010 (UTC)
Aha, good! I was hoping that extra edit would kick you over the threshold, but I didn't know if there might've been some weird autoconfirm limitation on it also. Have a nice day. :) Kylu 02:54, 22 October 2010 (UTC)

Sorry but usurpation for 'de' is not possible because the user has valid contributions. Raymond 08:22, 27 October 2010 (UTC)

But all of the five edits were made on 12 November 2009 on the same page. Can't we just ask the user if s/he objects (the common way) and if not, move on with the usurpation? Ameena 09:23, 27 October 2010 (UTC)
The policy of the German Wikipedia is not to usurp accounts with valid contributions. The approval of account holder is necessary for renaming. Raymond 07:00, 4 November 2010 (UTC)
Then lets post a message and email the user. And see if s/he agrees in the usurpation. Ameena 02:24, 5 November 2010 (UTC)
Has the user replied to you yet, Ameena? You'd be the one responsible for posting the message, since you're the one wanting the username, by the way. Kylu 15:57, 8 November 2010 (UTC)
Unfortunately I have no clue on how to post the message; I definitely cannot post in English ;) Raymond, could you help in posting that message, please? Ameena 04:34, 9 November 2010 (UTC)

This looks done to me, dewiki has local crats who can handle it on dewiki. --თოგო (D) 16:27, 3 January 2011 (UTC)

Status:    Done

I kindly request to usurp the account User:Jik_jik on fa:wiki for the purpose of creation of Unified Login (SUL). I am cs:User:Jik_jik, I have put a note on my user page for verification.

I am sorry to place my request here, but I am not able to place my request directly on fa:wiki due to the used arabic fonts. Thanks --Jik jik 12:06, 27 November 2010 (UTC)

I want to have my global account deleted. I have 20 active accounts with another name on wikis and I will rename some of "NikolausPL"s to make another global account - no need to have 2 SULs :-) --NikolausPL 04:41, 28 December 2010 (UTC)

Status:    Done

Believe or not - I wanted to have a single .ru account, but then I opened some notifies in my post client from Wikis.. then it happened: new accounts have been connected into a global one. It shouldn't happen this way - although it is a good idea with autocreation :( Please, delete this global SUL for the account. Sorry for all the problems - there should be a "tick" field to let people choose.. --Nikolauss 17:17, 28 December 2010 (UTC)

For those with local bureaucrats please see the index of pages where renaming can be requested or, if not listed there; contact directly a bureaucrat on its talk page and/or email. Regards, --dferg ☎ talk 18:46, 7 January 2011 (UTC)

I want to usurp the following account in a project without an usurping bureaucrat.

--Robijn 00:17, 19 January 2011 (UTC)

NL Wikipedia appears to have some bureaucrats. I think it would be a better idea to do this locally. Pmlineditor (t · c · l) 15:42, 19 January 2011 (UTC)

DS1SKU

Could someone have a look at en:WP:USURP#DS1SKU and advise how best to address the request? –xeno 13:27, 11 November 2010 (UTC)

Comment Comment: I'm not aware of a policy that would allow us to usurp an account based on its status as matching a callsign. Further, this diff on ko.wikipedia seems to indicate that the username was not selected as an impersonation, but user initials and the initials of his university/universities. If the existing accounts are usurped by the requesting user (원용), however, it would make sense to have stewards delete the global account to permit reunification. It would be best to explain the situation calmly to the current user of the "DS1SKU" account, however, and ask them to voluntarily relinquish it first. (If it matters, I understand my username has previously been the callsign of a Western United States radio station. Not that I was aware of this fact prior to my Wikipedia involvement.) Kylu 17:58, 15 November 2010 (UTC)
I've marked this "not done", as I didn't hear back from the user after conveying the advice you gave. Thank you for your attention to this. –xeno 20:52, 25 January 2011 (UTC)

Auanika

Request the deletion of a global account.

I want to delete my global account "Auanika". I've changed my username on my home wiki (russian) and on all wikis where I had contributions (except those where was only 1 edit) from "Auanika" to "Das steinerne Herz". So after the deletion I want to unify my new username "Das steinerne Herz" in russia-wiki with all others wikis with Special:MergeAccount. --Auanika 20:39, 29 November 2010 (UTC)

Deleting the global account will delete any global preferences, unattach all local accounts, and leave the global name free for another user to take. All local accounts will continue to exist. The passwords for local accounts created before the merge will revert to their pre-merge values. Shall we continue? --dferg ☎ talk 16:27, 3 January 2011 (UTC)
Yes, we shall continue.--Das steinerne Herz 09:21, 14 January 2011 (UTC)
