I use administrator permission to do general maintenance tasks on pi.wikipedia. I twice had admin privileges for 3 & 6 months respectively, both of which expired automatically. However, the sensible translation is:

  1. The complete non-answer here to my question
  2. Seemingly that the issue is spelling/dialects which even I have issues with in english
  3. That the oppose vote is translated by someone knowledgable about the language but not involved in the project
  4. I don't want a repeat of the circular arguments that happened here a week ago

I am going to find there is consensus to promote for 3 months. That said, be advised that next time, opposition needs to be discussed on the local project. Also, ultimatums of either agree with my request or delete it are not acceptable. Finally, do not come to the stewards to resolve your problems as the first step. Basically, the user who will receive the local admin bit must be a contributor there unless there are special circumstances. The purpose for wiki monitoring is abstract, hard to see as a contributor at the time you asked for this, and doesn't convince me that this is a special case. (non-steward comment) @Sakura emad: With only 17 edits on a wiki that you want to be a sysop, it doesn't convince much. It is also not clear whether you speak the language or not, as you have only created one article there (as at the time I am writing this). Small wikis need a sysop, true, but then that sysop should know the language and be part of that local community. @MarcoAurelio Hey, the two-factor authentication is now enabled and it shall always be enabled. About IP adresses, some IP addresses are due to vandalism and spam - thus removing content in pages, self-promotion, etc., to mention a few. But thank you correcting and recommending. There is no bureaucrat over on scowiki, three local admins, and nobody who can edit the interface. There are no local policies in place regarding elevated privileges, admin ship, etc. I'm requesting;

The policy is not very clear on whether suppressing redirects constitutes a sysop action. Considering that only eswiki sysops [and bots] can suppress redirects, I lean towards counting those to the admin actions limit. Posting this as a comment for now – in case this question (is suppressredirect a sysop action?) was discussed locally, I'd appreciate having a link to that discussion. However es:Wikipedia:Bibliotecarios#Retirada_del_permiso_por_inactividad is clear in that "Se entenderá como acción administrativa a toda tarea que requiera el permiso de bibliotecario" which means that an administrative action is any task for which administrator permissions are required. The only autoritative list of actions for which administrator tools are required is es:Special:ListGroupRights#sysop. Cycn does not have their mailfunction enabled. We have tried to convince this administrator to enable their mailfunction since September last year, see here. This is even more of a grace period of 14 days than local policy requires. We tried everything as we could to persuade this user to arrange a working wikimailfuction and recommended to contact T&S since they claim they lost acces to the emailaccount connected to their account, but they did not follow up on this. As such I have no other option than to request the removal of their admin-rights. Since this admin is otherwise in good standing I'll allow for a grace period to the end of this month, if they resolve the issue I will reinstate the sysop tools.
