  • Thanks for your comment Vermont. I was subjected to recurring harassment during the case that led to my block on the English Wikipedia, many of which were suppressed and at least one account was indefinitely blocked for harassment. This was documented in ArbCom's finding of fact. I don't want to experience such things again, this is why I requested to respond via email. I am sorry if my request gives you a different impression.

Ruslik0 I was blocked for various reasons including

  1. Use of sockpuppetry during my earliest time on Wikipedia.
  2. Including engaging in autobiographical editing
  3. I also gave an impression of self-promotion
  4. Introduction of many errors and copyvio text into articles written by me.
  5. upload of copyrighted photographs.

I completely agree with ArbCom's finding of fact and I believe they took the best decision for blocking me. I understood why I was blocked and I ensured that I don't engage in the same behavior that resulted in my block on the English Wikipedia. Its about 4 years now since I was blocked but I continue to contribute to other Wikimedia projects and I have since improved. Now I understand that copyright is a serious thing. I have uploaded hundreds of photos on Commons and none has been deleted for copyright violation. In fact most of my works on Commons focus on removing copyrighted contents from that project. Now I am fully aware that sockpuppetry is "forbidden". I have been blocked on the English Wikipedia for more than 3 years, I have never for one day edit it under any account or create a sock account to contribute. I have been serving as a sysop on Yoruba Wikipedia and I have never ever create any article about myself as I am fully aware that it's a " No-No". I have written over 250 articles on Yoruba Wikipedia, even though over 90% of it are translation from English to Yoruba, I know that under no circumstances should I or anyone introduce error or copyrighted text to articles.

@Ruslik0 and Vermont: In case it helps: I'm an active user and sysop at Commons, and I can confirm that T Cells is a good standing and helpful member of that community. I understand he was banned at wiki.en some years ago due to a mix of newbie clumsiness and a misunderstanding over an English word that ultimately gave the impression of self-promotion. I believe he should ask that ban to be lifted, as IMO it's based on old venial sins of little importance, but keeps damaging his reputation like a curse. Though I don't follow T Cells activity at the Yoruba Wikipedia, I understand that no problem has been raised related to it, but only with the old wiki.en ban. I would like to add that it is great that Wikimedia committed editors like T Cells take an interest in developing Wikipedia projects like Yoruba, which are especially helpful in bringing aboard the Wikimedia projects until now underrepresented communities.   • re to Vermont, he responded here (instead of email), I think that resolves your concern. To Ruslik0, to add to what DarwIn said, yo.wiki and en.wiki are separate projects, so I don't see how block on one magically extends to the other. For instance currently, I know a certain highly active admin at Commons (a major project) who is presently blocked indefinitely at English Wikipedia. Their block on enwiki has no relation to their adminship at Commons (even though he can theoretically do actions that affect English Wikipedia). So if adminiship on Commons has no relation to English Wikipedia then certainly yo.wiki has no such relation too. – Ammarpad (talk) 13:32, 3 October 2019 (UTC)

It would be a good idea to attempt to discuss them locally (it is okay if nobody responds). If you find that there are many things that need to be changed, you can indeed request a local administrator flag. In order to do that, please initiate a vote in the project, apparently on b:la:Vicilibri:Magistratus; it would be a good idea to leave a note at b:la:Vicilibri:Porta communis too. Dimon2711 propelled me autopatrolled and rollbacker in June of this year after a patrol (SWMT) on this wiki. I have no idea why he did this, but now that I have these rights on this wiki, I try to go there from time to time to make small corrections, to help. For vandalism, there is not much movement. So I was interested in lint errors, but there are protected pages. I'd like to make these small changes in the coming month, let's say late November. There are no active administrators on this wiki, but I have already made changes about these errors on unprotected pages. Hindi Wikisource is a newly approved sub-domain and have no admins/interface admins. This user has admin experience on Hindi Wikipedia and multilingual Wikisource. We are facing problems because this project has just gone live and files are needed to be imported from Sourcewiki to Hindi Wikisource. Even the user (@Jon Harald Søby:) who is helping in initial file transfer has recommended to get admin right as soon as possible to avoid some hiccups. This user is trustworthy enough to perform the required duty. Our Hindi Wikisource community has full faith in him. It is requested to give him permanent adminship with interface admin rights. Not done. Theklan, unfortunately, with just 1 user with over 10 edits in the last month euwikisource has too small a community at the moment to allow us grant a local bureaucrat flag there. On the other hand, there are not so many things bureaucrats can do besides granting administrator and bureaucrat flags. That does not happen too often and it is no bother for us to handle here from Meta. We would gladly fulfil a similar request in the future when your community grows much bigger. I have been long old user at the project and aided a lot, not only in language text edition, but also in templates, portals, Main page, etc, etc. Since last year, I've been transferred to a remote place, Shillong airport, in North Eastern part of India, that too 35kms far from the main city having tremendous data network issues.

My family stays away at Delhi and I have to care or for my responsibilities towards them also from here. Apart from this, I've been busy in official projects been carried on here।

Due to above-mentioned reasons I found it difficult to spare time। But I promise that I will try to spare time if given a chance. I will not beg for a chance, but expect that simply not running after the self made rules, but caring to maintain a contributor, I may be given a chance to improve my time contribution.

The user has not maintained even 100 edits on main namespace on hiwiki in 8 months. Above mentioned rule says 180 edits in 6 months. A rule should be maintained by admin itself. However, if user will be able to maintain its contribution to satisfactory level then after 3 or 6 month's activity, adminship can easily be granted to him. He himself said he is facing time and connectivity issues. Is it a mandatory hat to keep? What's a big deal in it! We can be a proud volunteer without any such hat.
