We created an election to vote who would replace me to become the second checkuser in cawiki (besides ca:User:Góngora). ca:User:Coet was the only candidate and he achieved enough votes to satisfy the requirements. Therefore, I ask you to give him the checkuser flag in cawiki and to remove me from that group.

Regarding the identification issue, Coet (using the username "Pasqual") submitted his identity to Cary Bass together with me back in 2008. He later changed his username to the current one (Coet) as you can see in the User rename log for cawiki. The decision is in that link I provided. The topic was created, discussed for some time, a proposal was made and as two editors supported it, you can consider it as approved, right? We're a very small community and we couldn't expect any more comments on the discussion, unfortunately ptwikisource is abandoned. For instance, when an editor wants to be an admin, we don't create a poll, our process is like a consensus, because without other editors is not possible to be as formal as in Wikipedia. --Lucas Nunes 21:52, 29 March 2011 (UTC)

Thanks for the lesson, but I edit wikisource since 2008, and I know all that. The approved thing there was that any adm from now on need to have edit in one year or will lose the tools, the topic says nothing about remove tools from people who had it before the discussion was created. I disagree, you're seeing the whole thing in a different and wrong way. In wikipedia, wiktionary and wikibooks they have made the same thing and immediately removed some sysops. What I meant is: "who stays one year inactive is desysoped" (the text is absolutely correct), and I'm sure Giro and Helder understood it this way. I understood what you're saying too, but is a very, very private interpretation of the policy, probably something only you think. --Lucas Nunes 23:33, 29 March 2011 (UTC)

We really can't offer "deals" like, "if you get X votes in Y days, you can be an admin". We can, however, point you towards the election guidelines as they currently stand. You are, of course, free to contribute to the opinions presented on the page. Also, we do have a set of global sysops who may assist that project with administrative abilities if you'd like some support maintaining the project while awaiting the outcome of your election (or beyond). I never saw such a case and thus I'm unsure how to handle it. I thought about letting him go through an additional RfA. Adminship != bureaucratship and should be handled differently.   • It looks like bureaucrat elections are in process on ptwiki. I suggest to set this request locally on hold or let it open until you have local bureaucrats who can then make a decision.
