Global bot requests

Global bot status for SassoBot

I have over 51,000 edits and already have flags on als, an, ar, ast, ba, be, bh, ca, ceb, cs, de, en, eo, es, et, fr, he, hu, id, ig, io, it, ja, ka, lb, mg, ms, nl, nn, pl, pt, ru, sah, simple, sl, sr, th, uk, vec, vo, wuu, yo, zh, zh-min-nan, zh-yue, zu. Djsasso 13:42, 5 March 2009 (UTC)

I approve of this user's bot. The contributions that it has made over many of the Wikipedias that it has made the changes to have been very helpful and right on target. I definitely believe that this user will use the global bot flag to its' fullest potential. Cheers, Razorflame 17:40, 5 March 2009 (UTC)
SassoBot is well-behaved. -- sj | help translate |+ 01:22, 6 March 2009 (UTC)
I have checked bot edits in some of wikis , for me it seems that is doing accurate so i am Support Support with flagging the bot --Mardetanha talk 19:45, 8 March 2009 (UTC)

done, long term contributions, flags on many wikis, not blocked, consensus here, best regards, --birdy geimfyglið (:> )=| 08:41, 9 March 2009 (UTC)

Global bot status for Rubinbot

Bot has over 63000 edits, flagged on ru.wiki, uk.wiki, be.wiki, zh-yue, tt.wiki, yi.wiki, en.wiki, wa.wiki, sq.wiki, vec.wiki, sv.wiki, ar.wiki, fr.wiki, de.wiki, sl.wiki, vi.wiki, bn.wiki, an.wiki, ast.wiki, az.wiki, af.wiki, ro.wiki, it.wiki, bar.wiki, es.wiki. It works with interwiki and global bot flag will be really helpful. Thank you! Rubin16 18:58, 12 March 2009 (UTC)

Done, I don't see any problems here and since no objections had been made. Best regards, ---birdy geimfyglið (:> )=| 20:02, 16 March 2009 (UTC)

Global bot status for ViskonBot

Thank you! Wisconsus 17:56, 21 March 2009 (UTC)

Hello Wisconsus, IMHO this bot has not enough cross-wiki (and overall) edits and does thus not fulfill the requirements (the bot must already be active on several wikis), best regards, --birdy geimfyglið (:> )=| 18:02, 21 March 2009 (UTC)
I agree. --Daniel Mayer (mav) 22:52, 26 March 2009 (UTC)
I agree too. Marking as Not done, and you're welcome to try again in a few months when you have botaccount on more wikis and more edits. Laaknor 23:47, 27 March 2009 (UTC)

Global bot request for TXiKiBoT

Thank you. TXiKi 11:47, 25 March 2009 (UTC)

Looks ok to me, leaving this open some days so people can comment if they wish to, best regards, --birdy geimfyglið (:> )=| 15:35, 25 March 2009 (UTC)
Spacebirdy: This user has blocks on a few Wikipedias that will need to be rectified before it can become a global bot. I would like to suggest that the user asks Anrie on af.wikipedia, Girdi on ce.wikipedia, and Kemmótar on lmowiki, and also have the user run Special:MergeAccount as well to take care of the several unattached accounts. Cheers, Razorflame 20:05, 25 March 2009 (UTC)
I don't see a problem with these blocks, there are other global bots that have blocks on some wikis, the blocks were not set because it had mal edits or something, just because some people have itchy fingers with unflagged bots, best regards, --birdy geimfyglið (:> )=| 20:31, 25 March 2009 (UTC)
You're right, Spacebirdy. The blocks on cewiki and afwiki were because my bot didn't have a bot flag, but it was perfectly working on interwikis (I've recently requested for an unblock on these 2 wikis). For lmowiki, you can see an explanation here, with a long list of block requests. The change of admins/bureaucrats in late 2007 decided to block my bot. It was automatically creating articles on this wikipedia, requested by the old admins; anyway, the bot worked well. TXiKi 09:04, 26 March 2009 (UTC)
Looks good to me too and I don't see the blocks as an issue due to above explanation. --Daniel Mayer (mav) 22:55, 26 March 2009 (UTC)
I agree with Daniel, and have given the rights and marked as Done Laaknor 23:54, 27 March 2009 (UTC)
Hmmm, apparantly the form for giving access doesn't work right now... But I would have given the access if I could :P Laaknor 00:02, 28 March 2009 (UTC)
There it worked. Done Laaknor 00:10, 28 March 2009 (UTC)

One vote so far but the local bot request page was orphaned. I just linked it from Talk:Fuula Dura (Main Page). --Daniel Mayer (mav) 18:37, 1 March 2009 (UTC)
Please see wikt:om:special:listbots, that is where they are linked from, thanks, --birdy geimfyglið (:> )=| 18:41, 1 March 2009 (UTC)
Novice users (which are going to dominate smaller wikis) are not necessarily going to be a aware of special pages like that (and if special pages are counted, no page could ever be truly considered orphaned). Best to also have a standard wikilink from a place where novice users might notice it. Even w/o the wikilink, I'm still inclined to grant all the bot requests you have placed here that have at least one local vote for. I'd like to give local users a few days to a week to comment on the previously-orphaned bot request pages that have no votes on them yet. --Daniel Mayer (mav) 18:56, 1 March 2009 (UTC)
But they are very aware of the bots and every bot-owner has his contact info on his pages, they would have contaced us long ago if there had been any problem or if there had been any people at all. I find this very pointy, but please do add links wherever, it will not make any difference, --birdy geimfyglið (:> )=| 18:58, 1 March 2009 (UTC)
I don't intend to be pointy - I'd just like us to make these pages easier for local users to find. --Daniel Mayer (mav) 19:08, 1 March 2009 (UTC)

No votes = bad sign, contrast ("but") with "request was made in July" = good sign. Meaning, nobody has commented but they have had more than enough time to comment. Now there is a vote of support. Request granted. --Daniel Mayer (mav) 03:40, 4 March 2009 (UTC)

I really don't understand you. It is said that wiki uses standard policy, allows automatic approval. And here is said that "the bot must edit without a bot flag for at least a week or make 100 edits on the applicable wikis for demonstration purposes". So, why can't it be done here ? Rubin16 16:24, 6 March 2009 (UTC)

No bureaucrats, and the bot-to-human ratio on bh is awfully high these days. Bot policy wasn't clear, so I cleaned up the past proposals to implement automatic policies; can't hurt to wait a bit longer. -- sj | help translate |+ 02:06, 6 March 2009 (UTC)

Robbot@bhwikipedia

No local bureaucrat, no clear local bot policy. These three bots have been editing for more than a week; meanwhile the local wiki is dead and has had no local editors in that time. Over the past year local editors seem not to use or read the Community Portal where bot requests and the like are made. There is likely a language and wiki-culture barrier b/t the casual users/editors of the site and the interwiki linkers and others leaving announcements in English on the CP. We should find someone to help improve local feedback. Meanwhile, these bots are clogging up RC and making it useless for tracking actual community editing. -- sj | help translate |+ 02:24, 6 March 2009 (UTC)

Done. Please create a patch file for this bug and I'll commit it to the repository. There's no alphabetic_revised for the Wiktionary family in the repository yet, so I'm assuming you made one. The Wikipedia list probably includes some languages for which there's no Wiktionary project. --Erwin(85) 10:58, 7 March 2009 (UTC)
I have no idea how to create a patch file. I just copied the pedia list, as extra codes in the "putfirst" list have no effect. (which is good enough for a private copy ;-) Should include dodde_order as well, set for sv.wikt (another bug in tracker). Robert Ullmann 13:42, 7 March 2009 (UTC)

You might as well just wait for a couple days, because stewards can't do it until a local request has been made. And my proposal for global bots only has a few days to go and most of these people are global bots so unless it gets rejected all of them will just globalize. -Djsasso 01:23, 10 March 2009 (UTC)
A local request has been made. That is what the link in the discussion section of this request was for. Thanks, Razorflame 03:55, 10 March 2009 (UTC)
You miss the point, the request has to sit for over a week before a steward will usually look at it. Thus, the bot policy propossal will probably go through before that point. -Djsasso 13:15, 10 March 2009 (UTC)
