THE ORIGINS
Eurofins was first established in Nantes, France in 1987. Our founder and CEO Gilles Martin was looking to commercialise SNIF-NMR™, a groundbreaking testing technology to detect the chaptalisation of wine, developed by his parents. It was the first time that nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) technology had been applied commercially for authenticity testing. With one laboratory, one entrepreneur, and three employees, Eurofins was born.
