About Collections
The Library strives to provide you with excellent and relevant collections to support the teaching, learning and research needs of the University. All our collections are discoverable through the Library Catalogue. By logging in you will be linked seamlessly to online resources and guided to the location of physical resources.
The Library supplies access to 550,000 printed books, with the whole stock totalling around 700,000 volumes, over 100,000 electronic journal titles in full text, and more than 400,000 electronic books, searchable via the catalogue.
The Inter-Library Loans service offers access to information resources not held by the Library. Areas of focus for archives are literature, theatre, film and the performing arts, and historical and political collections. Strengths of special collections include folklore, Irish language materials, and travel literature relating to Ireland.
