Deforestation causes land degradation, increased pollution, and sedimentation, worsening environmental impacts—in fact—12–20% of global greenhouse gas emissions. ReNew’s nature-based solutions’ programs undertake serious agroforestry activities. We prioritise planting of trees, including the financing of 200,000 million trees across 4000 hectares of land in India, helping preserve the local ecology as well as generating seasonal income for farmers. Nothing can stop the #PowerOfW! Congratulations to Ritika Lamba on her wonderful feat! Limits are boundless when your passion persists.
Since childhood I’ve been passionate about biking. I learned to ride by watching. Still remember how thrilled I was to take my first Bajaj Pulsar 150 around! Although on hold for some time, my biking adventures took off after I underwent basic training in 2023 and advanced training in 2024. I’ve since embarked on several trips. Landour, Ranthambore, Bikaner, Jaisalmer, Longewala, Arunachal, and Bhimtal; many breakfast rides, improving my biking skills along the way; and covering greater distances—approximately 6,300 km as of today. In March, I went on a trip along the unexplored terrains of Arunachal Pradesh. As a group of 29 bikers, including 19 women and 10 men, we traveled a challenging route from Guwahati to Missamari, Senge, Sela Tunnel, Bumla Pass, Tawang, Moga, and back to Guwahati. In total, a distance of more than 1,200 km was covered. As per the India Book of Records, I am an official record holder in the categories ‘Largest Group’ and the ‘Largest Female Riders’ contingent, traveling through difficult terrain. Thanks to the Indian Army for their unconditional support. Thanks also to my employer, ReNew, for being ever-supportive of my pursuits! Journeys aren’t only for thrills. Journeys effect tremendous learning. For mine, it’s with women leading and doing things—going the extra mile, pushing the limits. It’s in determination and courage that greatness can be achieved. We rode with the wind, but also with sisterhood on our backs, hoping to inspire others to embrace their own passions and take the road less traveled. Let us all be adventurous, fearless, and strong. Let’s follow our passions, shatter stereotypes, and create new pathways! ReNew Indian Army India Book of Records #PowerofW
