      visual-labs asked: How on earth do you manage to make your gifs so colorful and so smooth on tumblr? I can never find a satisfactory balance between file size and quality. How many colors and frames per second do your gifs have? Btw, I still have your stickers that I bought like 2 years ago and whenever people look at them they always ask me where I got them.

      Yeah it’s tricky. I usually have to compress each GIF a lot of times to get a good balance of file size vs compression artifacts and such. There’s a lot of trial and error in that part.  

      I also have a lot of GIFs that never really looked that great on Tumblr and I just don’t post those ones. I don’t have an overall setting that works for everything,  but I almost always have no dithering or pattern or noise. I try to use bright solid colors a lot with no shading or gradients, so that helps. Lots of black also helps the GIF compression / file size. Some gifs have only 12 or 16 colors, other times I am able to go all the way up to 256 colors. The frames vary a lot as well. Most are between 24 to 36 frames long, but I have gone up to 72 frames total for some of the slower ones.

      Check out the newly redesigned platonic solids sticker sheets! I re-configured the layout, but the individual stickers are still the same size as the original platonic solids stickers I had in my on-line store. The first one is also basically the same colors as last time ( I cleaned up a few things ), but the other three are new! The new light colored background version has updated colors and no lines around the separate polygons. The second new one is all black shapes with white foreground edges. And the last one introduces a bit of color variation in each shape. They are all limited editions. Like I only have about 12 of each right now in stock! And for a limited time, they are on sale for 8$ each!
