Followed Tags

Do you follow tags? You should. It’s a great way to keep up with content you’ve previously searched for.

Following New Tags

On the Web:

Just search for something, then click “Follow” on the right side of the resulting tag page. To view your followed tags, click the search box.

To stop following a tag, click in the search box, click the search term you’re looking for, and click “Unfollow” on the right side of the tag page.

In the Mobile Apps:

Just search for something, then tap “Follow” in the search box. To view your followed tags, navigate to the search page – they’ll be waiting for you at the top of the page.

Managing Your Followed Tags

To stop following a tag, go to the tag result page, and click or tap “Unfollow.”

From the dashboard, you can manage your tags by going into “Your Tags” from the top of the feed and click on Manage.

You can also view and manage all your followed tags by tapping the manage button just above your followed tags on the explore page. To get to the explore page on web, click the compass icon at the top of the dashboard. In the mobile app, tap the magnifying glass icon at the bottom of the dashboard.

Managing Your Followed Tag Injected Posts

Periodically, some of the best new posts from your followed tags will appear on your dashboard. If you’d rather not see these, you can turn off the “Include followed tag posts” option from your dashboard preferences. In the mobile app, tap the person icon, then tap the gear wheel icon, then tap “General settings.” From there, tap “Dashboard preferences” and toggle off “Include followed tag posts.”

Tip: If you choose to keep these injected posts, clicking or tapping the meatballs in the upper right corner of a followed tag post in the app will give you some choices: dismiss that particular post, unfollow the tag, or report the post as inappropriate.
