just wanna say ive been loving all the spm art!! super paper mario has a weirdly special place in my heart cause I spent a summer as a kid playing it every day until I finished it so the characters and the story are all really precious to me :) you draw them so well !!!
aww ty I’m glad you’re enjoying it! it has a special place in my heart too, I also loved it as a kid (I was around 12 when it came out) and I used to play it with my younger sisters and read out the dialogue in silly voices, which is a very dear memory of mine. doing lots of fanart for it is really just fulfilling my own childhood wishes and it’s extremely satisfying :)

Do you know anything i can donate to for palestine that's not the gofundmes because the idea of having to choose who needs my money more is just. scary to me they all need it 3: maybe there's a thing that splits/distributes money evenly???? idk but help would be appreciated

Gazafunds actually deals with this anxiety and makes a decision for you if you want. Their home page has a spotlighted fundraiser and the code consider things like how close the gfm is to finishing, when the most recent donation is, etc. So it’s randomized to help as many people as possible.
There’s also @helpgazachildren which if you donate, you can help multiple people at once since it’s a whole mutual aid fund, or at least close to it. Hussam distributes money to people who need it when he’s asked.

They should have Mario talk in the rpgs.
what. why. that would be so weird. if anything an rpg is the one setting that reinforces he should not talk

I know I'm preaching to the crowd here, but I think few games are as soulful as the original Paper Mario trilogy. I hope 64 and SPM can get remakes of as phenomenal quality as TTYD did. Apropos to nothing except the fact that I saw your Tippi and Bleck post on Twitter, haha.
oh yeah, completely awesome games. tbh though even if it would be a dream come true I’m skeptical we’ll get remakes of the other two any time soon… I’d settle for at least a rerelease on a virtual console situation for spm. that would make me very happy. unfortunately as you probably know ttyd is MUCH more universally beloved, although spm has definitely gotten an increase in respect over the years thanks to hindsight and nostalgia people were pretty down on it for a while. much as I hate to admit it ttyd is also just…… a better game…… mechanically, anyway (no bias here, I love both rpgs and platformers and spm is actually a lot closer to my heart than ttyd). ideal scenario would be a spm remake that overhauls the gameplay a bit, maybe makes it a little more complex, and also either gets rid of the really annoying bits or makes them optional. I’d love even more to see a brand new version of spm with the exact same writing but similar gameplay to ttyd, but that seems like a bit much to ask lol. as it stands though it’s a bit of a black sheep and I can’t envision nintendo giving it the same treatment as ttyd, but I can dream….. maybe, just maybe, someone up the ladder will see how the love for it has grown and think there’s a market for it

Saw your latest art about Chara.
Absolutely love it!
Although I can’t help but wonder, what is your take on Chara anyway? Sorry for asking, I’m just curious.
Oh, no problem! Umm it’s…. complicated? lol. Chara is a pretty broad subject…… I think they were a very troubled kid who, in all honestly, probably wasn’t very good to Asriel as a friend or a sibling. They could be pushy, violent, and manipulative. They loved Asriel, as much as Asriel loved them, but sometimes that isn’t enough, and who knows whether they intentionally poisoned Asgore or not, or why they laughed about it later…. it’s been common to justify or try and explain Chara’s more questionable actions as misunderstood or taken out of context, but tbh I don’t think we actually need to do that. I don’t think, even in the worst case scenario where Chara purposefully hurt their family at every moment we see it, that makes them a demon, or irredeemable, or that they even NEED to be redeemed. At the end of the day, Chara was a child who committed suicide- whether the intended outcome was to free monsterkind or to destroy humanity, or just to die. Even with the least charitable interpretations taken as gospel, shouldn’t they still be worthy of love? Isn’t the whole point of Undertale that anybody can become a friend and be understood, if only you reach out to them?
(I’m also a firm believer that Chara is the narrator no matter the route, which informs a lot of their personality to me, and also means that we get to decide their arc as a ghost. That makes way more sense to me than a story like this just going uhhh yeah that kid was pure evil the whole time or whatever lol.)
