👋🏼 Governor Wes Moore announced that Saft received a grant from the Maryland Department of Commerce for the “Build Our Future Grant Pilot” Program. The 11 companies selected will contribute to Maryland's competitiveness and support the development of an innovation infrastructure in many technology sectors. Saft will proceed with the conversion of 4,700 square feet of office space in our Cockeysville facility into a climate-controlled "dry room" environment specifically designed for lithium-ion cell production with the installation of automated production equipment. ✅ Pioneer spirit is one of our core values; we're proud to continue our innovation-driven efforts at our factory in Baltimore. 📣On June 21, our factory in Bordeaux, France, had the honor to receive Patrick Pouyanné, Chairman & CEO of TotalEnergies.   Welcomed by Cedric Duclos, CEO of Saft, and Stephane Lefevre, Manufacturing Director, Patrick Pouyanné was accompanied by Isabelle Patrier, Director of TotalEnergies France, and Jean-Paul RIQUET, Director of the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region for TotalEnergies.   The visit included a tour of our production facilities, R&D center, Incubator, and new prototype lines for solid-state batteries, and a demonstration of how digitalization and automation are boosting productivity in the rail and aerospace sectors, as well as #AI for ESS batteries. 🔋 We spent time reviewing Saft major proprietary innovations: #ACbattery technology, #BESS #AugmentedReality, #BESS #AI #PredictionTools, #LMFP chemistry, and #SolidState development line. The teams also had the opportunity to discuss TotalEnergies' renewables and BESS strategy with Patrick Pouyanné.  The day ended with a special celebration of TotalEnergies' 100th anniversary, with the Bordeaux Touch rugby team and a birthday cake. 🎉 A big thank you to the Saft Bordeaux teams for their hard work and motivation to continuously deliver cutting-edge innovation and the world's most advanced battery technologies.    #WeEnergizeTheWorld

💡Saft Battery Energy Storage Systems to decarbonize data centers! On June 5 and 6, we attended the DataCloud congress in Cannes, France. The event brought together senior executives in the digital infrastructure space and Hervé Amossé, Executive Vice-President of ESS at Saft, had the opportunity to speak about a project that represents one of Saft's sustainability pillars: helping our customers reduce their environmental footprint. ♻️ The main challenge of this first-of-its-kind project was to implement a battery-based microgrid solution allowing our customer to substitute the diesel generators located in its data center in Sweden and to move to 24/7 clean energy. This was made possible by our lithium-ion Intensium® Max solution. 🔋 One of the benefits of this product and our various energy storage solutions is that they contribute to the decarbonization of industrial activities - always under the highest safety, reliability and robustness requirements. #WeEnergizeTheWorld

📢 Last week, we had the honor of welcoming four important visitors to our factories in #Bordeaux & #Nersac. Cedric Duclos, CEO of Saft, took the opportunity to present the know-how of the two plants in the South-West of France to Stephane Michel, President of Gas, Renewables & Power at TotalEnergies, and three of TotalEnergies’ board directors, Dierk Paskert, Mark Cutifani, and Glenn Hubbard. The visit allowed us to showcase our aviation, rail, and energy storage systems businesses with some of our experts based in Bordeaux. They also saw how our R&D center is constantly innovating to offer our customers the latest technology. ✅ The trip then continued to Nersac, where we showcased two key rail projects, as well as our lithium-ion dry room. Our people in Bordeaux and Nersac showed how expertise, innovation, and a pioneering spirit have always been at the forefront of what we do and will continue to be so for many years to come! #WeEnergizeTheWorld
