I was thrilled to be in Beirut today for the signing of a strategic partnership with the Lebanese Red Cross. The commitment of the CMA CGM Foundation alongside the Lebanese Red Cross will take shape through 3 immediate actions : The CMA CGM Foundation will be covering the cost of fuel for ambulances, enabling tens of thousands of patients to access urgent hospital care. The Lebanese Red Cross will be part of our “Containers of Hope” program, which will ensure free transport of medical equipment and medicines on board CMA CGM vessels. The Lebanese Red Cross teams will undergo a dedicated training program organised by the expert teams of CEVA Logistics, in order to optimize their logistics operations. 🌍 Acting for Planet In 2023, we made significant strides in reducing our carbon footprint and enhancing sustainability across our operations. 🌱 Reduced CO2 Emissions: Achieved a decrease of 0.2 MT compared to 2022 emissions scopes, with total emissions standing at 6.0 MT in 2023. 🏢 Improved Efficiency: Reduced CO2 emissions per square meter by 10% compared to 2022, reaching 13.6 in 2023. ⚡ Green Energy Adoption: Increased the proportion of low-carbon electricity in our sites to 34%, up from 22% in 2022. 🚗 Fleet Transformation: Tripled the number of alternative fuel vehicles compared to 2022, contributing to cleaner transportation. 💡 Energy Efficiency: Enhanced lighting sustainability, with 84% of our sites now equipped with all LED lighting, up from 72% in 2022.
