I would really love to see a young royals spin off about august. the is going to be the king, he is heartbroken because of sara, the world does not know him yet and he experiences it how it feels like to be known by the whole world, his relationship to the queen and her family and also to wille, his struggles with eating and working out they have hinted at. We need augusts story
The royal court letting Wilhelm manage Simon’s media training/behaviour is so fucking funny like. This boy was introduced in s1 by being dragged away from a rave, who said fuck it and pulled rank in the most absurd ways in s2, who threatened the queen via speaker phone, who pulled a gun on his cousin, who impulsively changed his royal initiation speech midway and publicly came out to the entire country. That wilhelm? You want that wilhelm to tell his boyfriend to lay low? Ma’am pls 🤡
While Young Royals is a fictional show, it’s scary how many parallels there are to actual royals. I don’t know about the actual swedish family but the british? The way they have been treating Diana and Meghan is the way the show royals will/would treat Simon. Covering up scandals by just shutting everyone up, lying to fit the narrative, an emotional unavailable queen. While it’s all just a show, it’s all real too in a way.
Simon questioning to break up with Wille is so understandable after he’s finally realized that the institution, that does not even care about the person that is about to be the king, will not take any further steps to care about him OR them, or anyone
Given both of their historys I can’t blame Simon for being unsettled and scared of willies breakdown and I can’t blame Willie for having a breakdown after everything. Neither of them deserve hate over that.
