Delete: Coverage is all about his spouse dying; this is the only coverage of this person [1] to at least mention him in the title, but it's a non-RS, so not helping notability here. Oaktree b (talk) 01:01, 1 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Strong keep The nominator deserves to be trouted. How about doing a BEFORE prior to nominating for deletion? There is tons of in-depths coverage out there from long before his wife died, for example Eventing Nation in September 2018, Radio New Zealand in June 2021 Gazette & Herald in July 2021. Keep Ridiculous nomination (probably not helped by the poorly written article). Even without a WP:BEFORE, one would expect fifth in the NZ team at the Olympics to undoubtedly result in multiple examples of non-trivial coverage. DerbyCountyinNZ ^{(Talk Contribs)} 04:47, 1 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Keep: The sources found by Schwede66 contains enough WP:SIGCOV with which to meet the WP:GNG. There appears to be more to this subject than WP:1E as well. Let'srun (talk) 14:47, 1 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Strong Keep The article was created three years ago and his wife did not have her own page this month prior to the racing accident that led to her unfortunate death, so to cite WP:1E of her death does not make logical sense.
