Question from KerryREPORTERSanders (18:34, 17 June 2024)[edit]

I'm a longtime NBC News correspondent (and there is a page about me). One of my longtime colleagues who was NOT on camera, but is a cameraman/producer, who has been a part of not only significant news coverage, but helped developed what's now more commonly known as "backpack journalism" deserves a notation. He's won important journalism awards, and like so many (but not me) has written (years ago) a light hearted book about his experiences. Would he deserve a page/is he notable? He certainly is to me and his work now with National Geographic etc would seem worthy. Thanks for your advice/guidance. Cheers --KerryREPORTERSanders (talk) 18:34, 17 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@KerryREPORTERSanders: Hi there! Wikipedia's definition of notable people as those who "have received significant coverage in multiple published secondary sources that are reliable, intellectually independent of each other, and independent of the subject." For more details, please see WP:NBASIC. The article about you could use some additional secondary sources. If you are aware of any that can be used, feel free to suggest them at Talk:Kerry Sanders. Hope this helps! GoingBatty (talk) 19:41, 17 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you. KerryREPORTERSanders (talk) 20:17, 17 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Question from Unovic (00:30, 18 June 2024)[edit]

Hi. I found a reference error in an article. How do I go about changing that? Thanks. --Unovic (talk) 00:30, 18 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Unovic: I would go to the article, click "Edit source" at the top right of the page, find the incorrect reference, fix it, type an explanation of the change in the Edit summary field, and then click the "Publish changes" button at the bottom left of the page. If you like, you could also ask for help on the article's talk page. Happy editing! GoingBatty (talk) 13:03, 18 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. I'll give it a shot. Cheers Unovic (talk) 19:27, 18 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Question from Haitamhaitam0001 (23:28, 22 June 2024)[edit]

Hello! I would like to know how I could make a private page article that only I can see and save changes to until I submit a request for it to be added to the main page. --Haitamhaitam0001 (talk) 23:28, 22 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Haitamhaitam0001: Hi there! I suggest following the directions in Help:Your first article. While a page in your personal sandbox or a draft article are visible to everyone, they won't be indexed by search engines. Happy editing! GoingBatty (talk) 23:47, 22 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for the quick answer! Haitamhaitam0001 (talk) 11:42, 23 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
