July 2022[edit]

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, please note that there is a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Deviating from this style, as you did in Sarah Newton, disturbs uniformity among articles and may cause readability or accessibility problems. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Sciencefish (talk) 08:09, 25 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Okay thanks 4everbrillent (talk) 09:28, 25 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Mary Laurene Browne, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Effort[edit]

We appreciate your efforts to improve the encyclopedia. However, blasting "More citations needed" at the top of 68 articles primarily creates work for other editors. Particularly when unsourced claims were already tagged within the body of many of those articles, thus making the tag redundant. An argument can be made that it served the purpose - at least in my case - to spur me to delete long-challenged material in many of those articles. The problem is that quite a few of the tagged articles had more than adequate sourcing, from a cursory review. If there are specific claims that you feel need to have sourcing, then please use the {{cn}} tag on that specific material, rather than the exceptionally vague tag at the top of the article. In a number of cases, the article was very short, and had no need for more citation to accompany the sparse content. Please be mindful of the work you are putting upon your fellow editors by just slapping a tag on articles without putting any effort into improving the article itself, directly. cheers. Thanks for your contributions to Ecuador at the 2023 Pan American Games. Unfortunately, it is not ready for publishing because mostly templated empty sections about a future event; draftified per AfD and conversation at Draft_talk:Peru_at_the_2023_Pan_American_Games#Removal_of_empty_sections. Your article is now a draft where you can improve it undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Mikeblas (talk) 17:02, 1 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
