Acquired is a podcast by Ben Gilbert and David Rosenthal about business history and strategy.[1] As of 2024, the podcast has more than 600,000 monthly listeners.[2]

History[edit]

Gilbert and Rosenthal worked together at Madrona Venture Group[3] and initially had an idea for making a podcast about company acquisitions that became pivotal to the success of the acquiring company.[4] The first episode discussed Pixar and was published in 2015.[5] Over time, the show expanded beyond the acquisition topic to cover business history more generally.[4]
