Clarification: I was attempting to convey that this is the only storm named Koinu, for now (if the storm is not retired and is used when the list reaches Koinu again). If it is retired this will always be the only storm named Koinu. Songda Talas 06:28, 2 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Oppose Little damage done to areas affected. Being powerful does not make Koinu qualify for a merge. The only thing I see here that could result in this being merged is the fact that this is the only Koinu, but then again, not very significant. Support as others have said, it is currently the only storm named Koinu, and until this name is used again it should be kept as Typhoon Koinu.
