Added Location

The location listed in Gulfport, MS was never a Showbiz Pizza Place. That particular Chuck E Cheese's location was built at the same time that the Crossroads shopping center (which surrounds the restaurant) was built, which was about 1998/1999. Maybe Showbiz was in another part of town? 67.33.208.98 08:57, 31 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

There was a Gulfport MS Showbiz location on Courthouse Blvd. which closed in 1996 as Chuck E. Cheese's 120.28.224.32 (talk) 01:16, 10 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

There was a Showbiz Pizza in Green Bay, WI too. It is now a Chuck E. Cheese. -jorgekluney

Added the Decatur, Illinois former location on Pershing Rd. --HillbillyProfane (talk) 19:57, 28 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Spp logo.jpg

Image:Spp logo.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 08:01, 6 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Article cleanup

Like Chuck E. Cheese, this page is going to need a massive culling. Flyguy649 talk contribs 18:27, 9 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Locations

Added back the section "Locations". Location information is as important as the history of the business. Sethpen (talk) 15:51, 9 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Remember... Wikipedia is an Encyclopedia. Not a map directory Leave out the locations and talk more about the business. JasonHockeyGuy (talk) 06:27, 12 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I don't understand your rationale there. As the company is defunct, and all US-based locations are now gone, I don't see the problem with including locations in the article. Perhaps you (or whomever removed the section) should have added your rationale to the talk page before simply cutting it. It wasn't breaking any Wikipedia rules.--HillbillyProfane (talk) 10:14, 25 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Added locations. Historic information that is usually lost. Sethpen (talk) 17:58, 10 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Photographs

I'm a Wikipedia neophyte, and not sure of image/copyright restrictions. Can I include a photograph that I took of a ShowBiz poster? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Msapp99 (talkcontribs) 15:12, 13 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Edit Request 1/28/14

  • Images of the two logos that were used by Showbiz Pizza during its time of operation need to be uploaded to Wikipedia.
  • These two logos can be found on Logopedia and I'll tell you what the logos looked like below.
  • 1st logo: The first logo was used from when Showbiz began in 1980 and was used until 1989. This logo had a flashy look to it and it said "Showbiz Pizza Place". This logo also looked simalar to the Chuck E Cheese logo used from 1981 to 1989.
  • 2nd logo: The second logo was introduced in 1989 and was used until Showbiz died out in 1992 with most of its locations becoming Chuck E Cheese's during "Concept Unification". This logo was more bland then the first logo and the name was shortened to "Showbiz Pizza". This logo looked simalar to the Chuck E Cheese logo used from 1989 to 1995 and it was Showbiz's last logo. --24.147.1.197 (talk) 16:27, 28 January 2014 (UTC)Jacob Chesley[reply]
Done Long since done. I almost completely forgot about this comment I left over four years ago back when I was editing Wikipedia as a wiki contributor under my first IP address. My request ended up being answered by ShowBiz Pizza Place & Chuck E. Cheese back in July of last year. --JCC the Alternate Historian (talk) 20:54, 9 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Locations revisited

Wish the locations section was not deleted. Even if not listing every single location at least which States or even countries it used to be in. Curious whether this chain ever existed outside of the USA. I had never heard of them (prior to a docu on history of conflict with Chuck E Cheese). I know the competitor expanded internationally and am curious if anyone has any idea if ShowBiz did as well? Kav2001c (talk) 00:45, 4 July 2021 (UTC)kav2001c[reply]

The list that existed before was unsourced and removed in this edit years ago. It appeared to be compiled from random visitors to the page based on personal experience. Wikipedia does not accept forms of original research. If you'd like to compile a good replacement for what was lost, assuming you can find reliable sources for each city or country in the list, feel free. But unsourced information will continue to be removed/replaced over time. --GoneIn60 (talk) 13:59, 4 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
It's also worth noting that incomplete lists are mostly useless. Keep in mind that Wikipedia articles should not be an indiscriminate, excessive list of statistics or other kinds of information (see WP:INDISCRIMINATE). An incomplete list would fall into this category and likely be removed again. Such lists would be better suited on blogs and personal websites, not here on Wikipedia. --GoneIn60 (talk) 14:03, 4 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
