Giesing is a neighborhood in Munich about 3 miles south-east of the city center. The larger part of it is residential or a mix of business and residential, but there are also a number of recreational facilities.

Giesing is home to about 60,000 people, two big soccer clubs (Bayern Munich and TSV 1860 München), the Stadelheim prison, and the first McDonald's restaurant in Germany.
