Stop digging through endless lists of sound effects that aren’t quite right. If you can describe it, we can generate it.
With our sound effects generator, you’ll have infinitely many options at your fingertips. Simply describe what you need and you’ll have audio for any use case.
Start with “footsteps” and fine tune your audio by describing the type of shoe (boots, stilettos, sneakers) or the environment (sand, snow, leaves).
All of our paid subscriptions include a comprehensive commercial license as part of the package.
Film studios, S&P 500 companies, and top media organizations trust us to provide the highest quality audio at the lowest latency.
We have a tier to generate free sounds effects. Free tier subscribers must attribute ElevenLabs by including “elevenlabs.io” in the title whenever publishing any content generated on the platform. No such attribution is required for any paid accounts which come with a commercial use license for content. You are responsible for all files you upload to and generate on the platform, and for the consequences of publishing those files elsewhere.
You can use our sound effect generator any way you like. You can generate standard sound effects with text prompts like thunderstorm, lion roar, and doorbell. You can also generate instrumental music tracks up to 22 seconds with prompts like guitar loop, jazz saxophone solo, and music techno loop. The model can also create a variety of character voices using prompts like "woman singing 'Dancing in the sand, we watched the daylight end'" and "an ogre says 'stay away puny human"'" and you can even chain together sounds with prompts like "A joyful elderly woman says, 'I'm so proud of you!' and then laughs". And of course, you can generate funny sound effects like fart sounds for your memes.
We charge based on the duration control parameter per generation. If you set the optimal duration to be computed by us we charge you 200 characters, if you want to control the duration yourself we charge you 40 characters per second you set as duration (calculated once across all four generations).
We charge your character quota per-request, not per-download. This means that every time you click 'Generate', you will incur the character cost of your request. If you believe you've been charged by mistake or the requested file was never fetched even though you've been charged, please reach out to team[at]elevenlabs[dot]io.
