I’ve sourced all of the sounds in this video from the new Text to SFX feature from elevenlabs.io - Here are some tips I’ve gathered 👇 1/ Settings → Prompt Influence: I've found that setting this around 70% towards following the prompt works great, especially for straightforward Foley sounds like footsteps. → Sound Length: Adjusting the length is useful for risers and whooshes, and in cases like footsteps, it can produce more consistent results in a single file. Keep in mind that changing the length will affect the character cost. 2/Prompts → Frequency Descriptors: Using terms like “low frequency” and “high frequency,” or “high pitched” and “low pitched,” helps shape the sound the way you want. → Descriptive Words: Words like “cinematic” and “designed” can give you that over-the-top sound design style if that’s what you’re aiming for. → SFX Categories: Knowing basic SFX terms like riser, whoosh, impact, braam, brass, bass drop, reverberant, tremolo, etc., is very helpful. The model responds well to these terms from my experience. 3/ Classic Sound Design Techniques → The craft of sound design - knowing how to put all the sounds you generate together to support the story is still as important as ever. → Layering & Effects: Traditional sound design techniques like layering, pitch shifting, and others are crucial to get the best sound. Really excited to see where the guys from ElevenLabs can take this in the future 🤘 Justin Hackney Kamil Soldacki Follow @newzoneaudio on Instagram to get more Sound Design tips for filmmakers 👇 https://lnkd.in/daBTwbGD Comment or message me with any questions you might have! ✍ Video Credits: Aston Martin
