Beliefs in Engineering Research Group (BERG)

Beliefs in Engineering Research Group — or BERG — conducts research exploring beliefs in engineering education. Specifically, we are investigating the beliefs that members of the engineering community have about the following constructs: smartness, diverse approaches to engineering design decisions, and the cause(s) of gender- and race-based minoritization in engineering. Our overreaching mission is to leverage engineering education research to shift the culture of engineering ​to be more realistic and inclusive.
