Manage allowed resellers for your products

This document explains how you can manage which vendors can resell your Google Cloud Marketplace products.

When you turn on reselling for the first time, all current resellers are added to the list of allowed resellers for your products. While you have reselling turned on, by default, all new resellers are automatically added to the list of allowed resellers for your products. However, you can change this setting at any time.

Choose whether to automatically allow new resellers

If you want to stop Cloud Marketplace from automatically adding new resellers to the list of resellers allowed to resell your products, you can turn off this behavior by taking the following steps:

  1. In Producer Portal, under Account management, click Settings.

  2. Under Reseller management, click Manage reseller network.

  3. Next to Auto allow new resellers to resell my products, click the toggle to turn on or turn off the behavior.

Allow a reseller to resell your products

If you want to allow a specific reseller to resell your Cloud Marketplace products, you can do so by adding their reseller Cloud Billing account to the list of allowed resellers.

To allow a reseller to resell your products, complete the following steps:

  1. In Producer Portal, under Account management, click Settings.

  2. Under Reseller management, click Manage reseller network.

  3. Click Disallowed to see the list of resellers who aren't allowed to resell your products.

  4. In the list of resellers who aren't allowed to resell your products, find the reseller whose Cloud Billing account you want to allow to resell your products, and click in the line for that reseller's name.

  5. In the pane that appears, click Allow reselling.

  6. Confirm your choice by clicking Allow.

After you've confirmed your choice to allow a reseller to resell your products, that reseller receives a notification in Partner Sales Console telling them that their Cloud Billing account is invited to resell your Cloud Marketplace products.

What happens after you allow a reseller to resell your products

After you've allowed a reseller's Cloud Billing account to resell your products, they can use that Cloud Billing account to do the following:

  • Purchase your products from Cloud Marketplace.
  • Accept new private offers for your products.

Disallow a reseller from reselling your products

If you want to stop a specific reseller from reselling your Cloud Marketplace products, you can do so by disallowing their reseller Cloud Billing account from reselling your products.

To disallow a reseller's Cloud Billing account from reselling your products, complete the following steps:

  1. In Producer Portal, under Account management, click Settings.

  2. Under Reseller management, click Manage reseller network.

  3. In the list of allowed resellers, find the reseller whose Cloud Billing account you want to disallow, and click in the line for that reseller's name.

  4. In the pane that appears, click Disallow reselling.

  5. Confirm your choice by following the instructions that appear and then clicking Disallow.

What happens when you disallow a reseller from reselling your products

When you disallow a reseller from selling your products, the reseller receives a notification in Partner Sales Console telling them that their Cloud Billing account has been disallowed from reselling. After you've disallowed their Cloud Billing account, they can't use that Cloud Billing account to do any of the following actions:

  • Purchase your products from Cloud Marketplace.
  • Accept new private offers for your products.
