We just wrapped up an incredible week at the World Seed Congress! 🌱 2,000 industry professionals from all over the world descended on Rotterdam to talk seeds and dive into important topics facing farmers. Key discussions included: food security and climate change, and how seed innovation is critical to a sustainable future. Our Seedcare team was front and center as the Congress’ main sponsor, spotlighting our game-changing innovation to manage pests and disease, address abiotic stress, and enhance soil health. The team was proud to sponsor the ISF Women’s Luncheon to foster dialogue on how the industry can better support and provide more opportunities for women. We ended the week with two big tours to showcase our Vegetable Seeds innovation - first, hosting a group of 20 international journalists at our world-class Tomato Vision innovation center. As we approach the final full harvest cycle before 2030 - a milestone year for many sustainable agriculture goals - it’s clear that practice change is essential. 🌱 Today, growers need to support each other in adopting sustainable practices on the field. Industry players must collaborate to achieve scale, while consumers must use their purchasing power to drive change. These critical topics were front and center at the Cool Farm Annual Event in Amsterdam, attended by Manpriet Singh, our Business Sustainability Expert for the Value Chain team. After the event, Manpriet said: “The conference was an incredible opportunity to explore the intersection of business and sustainability, always with a focus on farmers who bear the greatest risks.” The Cool Farm Tool - an initiative of the Cool Farm Alliance - is an online calculator that measures on-farm greenhouse gas emissions, soil carbon sequestration, biodiversity, and water usage.
