Waste to Resource Ontario (W2RO) was founded in 1977 and represents, over 240 independent companies, municipalities and organizations in the waste, recycling and resource recovery sectors.
W2RO Private Sector members offer a broad range of services including waste collection and transport, processing, recycling, secondary market development and waste minimization counseling. These members operate landfills, transfer stations, material recovery and energy-from-waste facilities.
W2RO Associate members include consultants, legal firms and equipment manufacturers and suppliers who offer a wide range of talent, expertise and machinery to improve waste management practices.
W2RO Public Sector members include municipalities, counties, regions and public services, that provide for waste management services to residents and whom offer enhanced government advocacy capacity and recognition for all waste management stakeholders.
