We have some great internal links about how the mac updater elevation works.

There's nothing confidential about these, and the information in them would be really great for tracking down updater bugs.
We should get them in the tree somewhere.
It also might useful to document basically what the updater does which boils down to:
sudo chown -R root:admin /Application/Firefox.app
sudo chmod -R g+w /Applications/Firefox.app

I'm pretty sure one of them is https://mozilla-hub.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/[email protected]/pages/71041045/SecReview+Elevated+Updater+for+OSX+bug+394984 but I'm not sure what the other one might be -- could you try to determine the new URLs? Given recent shenanigans I'd like to improve the in-tree updater documentation in this area. Thanks!
