Today I see FF68 has been released. So I will download it from https://www.mozilla.org/fr/firefox/all/ to see if this bug is gone.
Let me know if you want to confirm something with 67.0.4

From FF68 the update checker first run, yesterday, gave me the "up to date" message. Fine. Today, it has looked for a answer for more than three minutes... that may be the reason sometimes it ends asking to download again the installer from the website.

With Firefox 68.0.1, sometimes, I still get the little green arrow on the top of the menu button Ξ. When the menu is then unrolled, it is proposed to download firefox again.

Severity: normal → S3
