In the aftermath of the catastrophic fires that upended thousands of lives by destroying homes, schools, businesses, houses of worship and entire communities, there have been heartening displays of humanity, giving us hope that L.A. will wrap its arms around each other, console, support and then engage in the gargantuan task of rebuilding.
The Broad Foundation has been in close contact with our grantee, foundation and government partners to assess urgent needs, particularly in our most vulnerable communities. While we recognize the need for immediate-use funds and have directed the contributions below, we remain focused on the strategic, collaborative, long-term work of investing in the future of Los Angeles.
