Randstad Group heeft de ambitie om een inclusieve organisatie te zijn. Daar werken we dagelijks aan, maar deze week nog een beetje meer. Jaarlijks organiseren we een week met extra opleidingen, workshops en interactie rond het thema equity, diversity, inclusion & belonging 🌈. Voor één van die events werken we samen met Arteveldehogeschool. Via Virtual Reality worden onze managers geconfronteerd met exclusie, vooroordelen en microagressie op de werkvloer. In de aansluitende workshop worden concrete acties besproken. Zo bouwen we verder aan een inclusieve cultuur. Want elk talent is welkom bij ons! Chaque année, nous organisons une semaine de formations, d'ateliers et d'interactions supplémentaires autour du thème de l'équité, de la diversité, de l'inclusion et de l'appartenance 🌈. Pour l'un de ces événements, nous collaborons avec la haute école Artevelde. Grâce à la réalité virtuelle, nos managers sont confrontés à l'exclusion, aux préjugés et aux micro-agressions sur le lieu de travail. Dans l'atelier qui suit, des actions concrètes sont discutées. Ook (non-food) retail scoort qua aantrekkelijkheid niet bijster hoog: op de voorlaatste plaats samen met transport en logistiek. Dat blijkt uit de jaarlijkse “employer brand survey” van Randstad Belgium, die de HR-dienstverlener al 24 jaar organiseert. Waar knelt het schoentje? For the third year in a row, we are proud to organize a week dedicated to learning and reflecting on Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, & Belonging. 🏳️🌈 This initiative aligns with our mission at Randstad Belgium to become the most specialized and equitable talent company. EDI&B is not just a one-week event for us; it's a commitment we uphold throughout the year. However, this week, we shine an extra spotlight ✨ on these values to foster a deeper understanding and stronger connections within our team. This morning, we kicked off with a "Living Library." Much like a regular library, but instead of books, you borrow people—individuals who have faced prejudices and are willing to share their powerful and inspiring stories. Their experiences, despite many obstacles, are both enlightening and motivational. I firmly believe in the power of small-scale projects to promote inclusion within our organization. Step by step, these efforts spread like an oil slick, gradually influencing every part of our company culture. Deze week maakten we bij Randstad Group kennis met Jonas Baert, een student van 27. Toch mist hij heel wat aspecten die het leven van een jongeman kleur geven. Door zijn fysieke beperkingen is hij bijvoorbeeld aangewezen op een rolstoel. Hij vertelde ons uitvoerig over zijn leven, over de hindernissen waar hij tegenaan loopt, over het assistentiebudget waar hij al vele jaren op wacht en over zijn toekomstplannen: over anderhalf jaar zelfstandig te kunnen wonen in Mechelen. De vzw Onafhankelijk Leven vzw is daarbij voor hem een enorme steun. Hij is dan ook een fiere ambassadeur van hen. ✨ Op 23 juni zal een ploeg van 15 Randstad Group Belgium collega's deze jongeman vleugels geven in de Urban Trail Brussels. Deze actie is méér dan symbolisch.
