I've been following your blog for a while and your use of colour is so delightful - it's one of the few artstyles that makes me wish I could jump into a piece of art and experience a whole world of it! Hello, I hope your day is going well. As a fellow artist do you have any advice for people that feel like their art progression is plateuing/not progressing anymore?

in my personal experience i just pick an art basic and practice it.

so like when i feel like im leveling out, not really improving, and i want to get better, i sorta pick something to focus my efforts on. Like for a while i stopped liking how i shaded, so i went extreme with textures and colors until i grew comfortable and got to a place i liked. right now im sort of thinking about pushing my posing, backgrounds, and perspective bc i felt that i was leveling out and also that my art felt flat and not all that 3D.

brushing up on the basics of art and honing in on a few specific things can do nothing but help you and your art, at least in my experience. everyone’s is different!
