Customization guide
Getting started
Once you install the theme, you’ll be able to customize the colors and layout to your liking!
I completely understand that the customize page can be overwhelming with all of the available options, so I am here to guide you through the process of customizing the theme.
How to customize the colors
Under the “Appearance Options”, you will find two main colors: “Background color” and “Accent Color.” The “Background color” refers to the color of the background of your blog theme, while the “Accent color” will be applied to certain elements.
Please play around with the settings below for the live preview:
Meanwhile, under the “Theme Options”, you will see 6 colors that are self-explanatory.
How to add a custom link to this theme?
You can add as many custom links as you want through Tumblr pages (click here for more information), and the process is very simple, here’s how:
- Go to customize page
- Scroll down until you find ‘+Add a page’
- Enable ‘Show a link to this page’
- Select “Link” from the dropdown menu (for custom links) and if you want to make a custom page (for example, an ‘about’ page), just don’t change anything from the dropdown menu and leave the ‘Standard layout’
- Add the URL, page title, and page body text as you wish and save
What’s the “Featured post” section?
The featured posts section is used to display your featured text posts. To enable this feature, you will need to turn on “Show Featured Posts” and then tag one of your text posts (note: this only applies to text posts) with #featured. The post will then automatically appear in the featured section.
How do I generate my featured tags on the “Browse by tags” link section?
To customize the tag lists on your blog, follow these steps:
- Go to the customize page
- Scroll down until you find the “Tag Lists” text field
- Edit the existing tags with your own
- Be careful with the formatting, making sure to use quotation marks and commas as necessary
- The links for your tags will be generated based on the labels you give them.
See the screenshot below for your reference.
For example, if you add “funny” to the text field, it will redirect to the link.tumblr.com/tagged/funny and the same goes for the other existing tags. Just make sure to format the tags like this: “example”, “other-example”, etc (with quotation marks and commas).
How do I change the highlighted Tumblr account?
“The existing account is set to changes, staff, wips by default. Similar to the example above, just change it with the format like this: ’"loona”, “newjeans” etc. with quotation marks and commas!
