At Ruth's Table, we're dedicated to fostering inclusivity so that people of all ages and abilities can participate and thrive. Our barrier-free space ensures everyone, regardless of mobility or sensory differences, can enjoy our offerings. Through access features and personalized support, we strive to create an environment where everyone feels valued and empowered.

ARTIST ADVISORY GROUP
Ruth's Table partners with a group of artists who help to curate and plan our yearly exhibition featuring artists living with disabilities. Members of the Artist Council are active in their communities advocating for access and creating art about disability. The Artist Council provides vital support and knowledge, and is a key community effort for accessibility at RT.

ACCESS FEATURES
Ruth’s Table offers a range of gallery features and programs to support diverse abilities and ensure access to the widest possible audience. Visitors can reach out with questions and to share their accommodation needs by emailing us at [email protected], or calling us at 415-642-1000.
Gallery Features: Audio descriptions of each artwork are available through QR codes displayed on the wall labels. Braille exhibition guides, Braille labels, and large print materials are available for blind and visually impaired visitors. Haptic models, or small touchable editions, of some artworks are included whenever possible.
Virtual Exhibitions: Exhibitions are presented in a virtual format with audio descriptions, links to large font documents, and other features to increase access for visitors who may not be able to visit the gallery in-person.
Mobility: Ruth’s Table gallery and adjacent outdoor patio and green space are fully wheelchair accessible by ramp or level ground.
Inclusive Programs: We offer a number of on-site, virtual, and phone-based opportunities to support the diverse needs and abilities of our participants.
