Evaluation of certain veterinary drug residues in food: ninety-eighth report of the Joint FAO/WHO Expert Committee on Food Additives

Overview

The JECFA98 meeting, which was jointly hosted by FAO and WHO, evaluated three veterinary drugs in Rome 20–29 February 2024.

The report represents JECFA evaluation of technical, toxicological, microbiological and epidemiological data, including the occurrence of and dietary exposure to the veterinary drugs Clopidol, Fumagillin dicyclohexylamine, and Imidacloprid.

The Committee also finalized a decision tree for evaluating veterinary drugs for which the dossier submitted by the sponsor was incomplete or outdated. It is available in Annex 1 Guidance for the safety evaluation of residues of veterinary drugs with incomplete data package.
