The fact that Invader Zim and Invader Zim Enter The Florpus both have 100% on Rotten Tomatoes and got cancelled too soon — yet Velma has like 39% on Rotten Tomatoes and is likely getting a third season makes me want to commit arson.

I'll make it straight because, as a person who grew up with Scooby-Doo, I cannot stand that.

1. Velma (2023-) is shit. I didn't even watch it (beside the trailer and someone's commentary) and already had nightmares, really.

2. I know Scooby's brand is quite popular and has earned a lot of money, but making that shit is just absurd. Even Be Cool, Scooby-Doo! is better.

3. I don't mind making a show about a teen girl who tries to find her mother(?) and has strange friends(?)[I am not aware of the plot of the Velma series and what is happening there. With plot of course.], but if you use characters from a long-running show and ruin them, you show no respect to the original fans. You show no respect at all.

4. Why didn't the creators of Velma make a better connection to Scooby-Doo by appearance (they did, but it could have been done better) or something? The names could be changed to Vicky, Dee-Dee, Frank, Noah, or others! Then they would be different characters!

But let's be honest: no one would watch it then. If you use popular characters (like in Velma), people will be like, "A new Scooby-Doo-based series, Yay!"

And what if Velma was only a parody? Then it should at least change the characters' names (like in the Groovy Gang) or it could be just a one-shot. That's my opinion.

I tried to find some Scooby-Doo-like cartoons (where there are four people and a pet solving crimes). There are plenty of them (mostly Hanna-Barbera). So, there is an option to make something different without using the names and appearances of existing characters.

And one more thing about this below:

It's better if Scooby-Doo stays in the FNaF universe than in Velma.

Scooby Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed was the first live-action Scooby movie I watched.

That’s all, thanks for attention.
