Privacy Policy

PROTEIN INDUSTRIES CANADA INC. (PIC) is committed to keeping any and all information collected from its members confidential, secure and private. This privacy policy shall apply to all members and to PIC and thus it shall govern any and all data collected and usage thereof, except as amended from time to time in Master Project Agreement. Through the use of PICS website and membership facilities, the members are herein consenting to the following data procedures:

PIC may collect and may make use of all corporate and personal identification information to assist in the operation of the website and to ensure delivery of services to members. PIC may share each members contact information with other members.

PIC will use a collaborative and collegial approach to business therefore the sharing of information and knowledge is promoted.

PIC may share any and all foreground IP as defined by its IP policy with all members without exception. Furthermore, PIC will maintain an inventory of all IP and data generated through the Master Project Agreement (MPA), which inventory will be readily available to all members subject to the terms of the MPA.

However, unless specifically authorized in writing Background IP will not be shared or made available to Members. On the limited occasions where this may occur it will be pursuant to a MPA which will define the terms of dissemination.

PIC shall endeavor and shall take every precaution to maintain physical, procedural, and technical security with respect to the information so as to prevent any loss or modification of the same.

PIC may change without notice its privacy policy. By executing the membership agreement the member accepts this privacy policy and agrees to abide by it.

Members who submit information or IP data acknowledge that they have the right to do so and in so doing are not infringing any copyright rules.

PIC may also disclose Corporate and or Personal identification information that is necessary to comply with its funding arrangement with the Government of Canada.
