New to LinkedIn Live: Auto-Captions

New to LinkedIn Live: Auto-Captions

In December, we announced several LinkedIn Live programs and features, including our Preferred Partnership Program, Scheduling, Moderation through Muting, and Likes on Comments.

I’m excited to be back with a brand new update to LinkedIn Live, a product that we are passionate about building and enhancing for our members and broadcasters. Seeing what you create and share in real time with the LinkedIn community is empowering - from Events to Expert Interviews and everything in between.

One area we’ve heard from you is the critical need for real time captioning in live broadcasts, and how many services can be cost prohibitive.

Today we’re excited to announce the availability of Auto-Captioning for LinkedIn Live broadcasts through our API, powered by Microsoft technology. Starting today, broadcasters streaming to LinkedIn via our API Partners - Restream, Streamyard, Switcher and Socialive - will have the option to enable auto-captions for streams in English. Viewers who enable captioning will see closed captions on Live broadcasts on LinkedIn mobile apps and Desktop Web whenever they are available.

Hi Alana Smith, any word when autocaptions will be coming for us regular RTMP LinkedIn Live users?

Hi, great addition to this tool. One doubt: do the captions stay after the live has ended and are we able to edit them to fix possible mistakes?

Alana Smith (she/her) thank you for posting this. I am just curious whether the ability to EDIT the captions might be coming soon? As a LinkedIn Live broadcaster I am troubled by all the spelling mistakes I am seeing on my Livestream video replays.
