MY “MUST” LIST OF WOMEN-LED BRANDS I WISH I COULD’VE SEEN AT EXPO WEST 2020
A few years back, when getting Partake off the ground, I attended the Natural Products Business School at Expo West and took so much helpful knowledge away from Anaheim and back to Partake HQ (my living room, at the time). Needless to say, I was honored and excited to be invited to speak at this year’s Natural Products Business School and just as disappointed that it didn’t happen this week as planned.
In addition to speaking, I was looking very forward to seeing a handful of other wonderful brands—many women-founded / women-led like Partake. Since we’re currently celebrating Women’s History Month and Sunday is International Women’s Day, and I won’t be able to see and celebrate these amazing companies in person this week, I’m taking a moment to shout them out now!
The Honey Pot
Have you seen their amazing Target ad? I was so excited to see their products in person at Expo West and will definitely be checking them out at my local Target this weekend. As a female founder of color, Beatrice Jackson and that commercial have allowed me to see myself on television in a way that means more than she’ll ever know.

Pop & Bottle
Oat Milk + Lattes = Big Love in my book.
I was ready to fuel my walk around the floor with one of my favorite brands. Their “super” oat milk lattes come in three delicious flavors + a “super” boost—the classic with antioxidants, the vanilla with collagen, and the mocha with adaptogens. One thing is for sure: Blair Hardy and Jash Mehta (shout out to Jessica Pratt and Shelley Tang, too) know how to make a truly delightful brew.

Purely Elizabeth
I’ve been waiting impatiently to know her newest product since she’s been teasing on IG. I was excited to see what it was. Looks like the world will know March 6th! I also was excited to try the new body scrubs. I continue to be impressed with all that Elizabeth Stein cooks up.

NutPods
I’ve been following Madeline Haydon since her Kickstarter days. What a big inspiration to me! She was also speaking at the Natural Products Business School, and I was so excited to have a chance to learn from her in person - and try their new Oat Creamers.

CocoKind
Their mission is: clean, conscious and accessible beauty for all—but they are even more! A brand that builds others up while building themselves gets a wild amount of kudos in my book. Priscilla Tsai, empowering other women-led companies with your Impact Foundation grant is a huge inspiration to me. And it’s no surprise you took the opportunity, in your LinkedIn post about Expo West, to shout out additional brands!

There are so many other women-led / women-founded brands I missed here. Who are your favorites not included above? List the brands, products and news you were excited to see and let’s share the love—even if we can’t do so in person this week.
