Talkspace Psychiatry provides access to a psychiatrist or licensed psychiatric providers evaluation, prescription for mental health medication (if appropriate), and ongoing medication management. Talkspace Psychiatry sessions are conducted over live video and if medication is needed we send the prescription to a local pharmacy of the member’s choice for pick-up. A follow-up video session is required every three months for medication management.
Talkspace Psychiatry is available without a referral and because Talkspace is in-network with most major insurers most people only pay a copay for our psychiatry sessions.
Often the best mental health outcomes are achieved through a combination of therapy and prescription mental health medication. If a member receives both therapy and psychiatry through Talkspace their providers can share notes on their progress, for a comprehensive approach to mental health.
