Respectfully, the regular Emmys are so long that they are already split over 2 days, one of which (Creative Arts) isn’t aired. You also have the Daytime Emmys, Sports Emmys, and News and Doc Emmys. I would say we need fewer categories, not more. Creators have plenty of awards they can win for their user-generated content. When they start dealing with network notes and studio budgets, we can discuss the Emmys.

I understand that 'traditional' broadcasters may not want to hear this. Our computers, smart TVs, and streaming devices have become our primary means of watching television, and millions of discerning viewers have chosen YouTube and other streaming platforms for their high-quality, entertaining, informative, and compelling content. The networks seem to agree, as they are increasingly putting their content on YouTube to reach a wider audience and showcase their best work.

Well its about time. Already Modi did honor creators in India, it was a 1st for a country to recognize the new gen creators. So it woudn't hurt if Emmys and others start recognizing creators. Who have been influencing the whole generation across the world. So much that now main news channels are really struggling for viewership. UCG all the way.
