Helping SaaS companies increase self-serve activation and retention. Sharing my learnings along the way.

One of the biggest differences I've seen between successful saas founders and the ones that fail is that successful founders never see failed experiments as wasted resources. They learn, they adjust, and they don’t stop experimenting until they find that one thing that works and makes all the difference. Then they continue experimenting to learn more.

As an extension to this, often I see founders who will try to make the results of the experiment fit the result they wanted / discount the results if they weren't what they hoped for. My speculation is they feel that they've somehow failed if the idea doesn't work out. Of course, this is far from true! This is a key part of growth mindset v's fixed mindset. Carol Dweck's book "Mindset" is really great on this topic.

A losing test is as valuable as a winning test. Knowing what will damage your site if implemented is as valuable as knowing what will improve your site if implemented.
