I promise you.......................... At Vermilion we will never advertise a job advert that doesn't have a salary! I personally feel every company should advertise the salary, if they don't! I would be asking why?? Are they hiding something? Not wanting to pay market rate maybe? Don't want employees to see the rates they are paying others? Recent pet hate incoming; since several states have implemented salary transparency (rightly so), seeing some (numerous) of these job adverts with $100k plus salary windows is crazy! Saw one earlier that said '$180k-$300k'. If you are interviewing at any of these companies my advice as a recruiter is just say 'the very top of the range you've advertised please.' And any comeback you get trying to tell you about locality disparity, is also absolute nonsense. Ain't nowhere where a job truly pays $120k more based on where you live. Employers - Candidates want HONESTY and CLARITY. Don't play games, be upfront and clearly stipulate your salary ranges for every role you have, and keep them close together, it will also make hiring and retaining staff significantly easier. #hiring #salarytransparency
