You talk the talk but do you walk the walk? So many marketers know all the right things to say but when push comes to shove, they don't get the results their clients are looking for. Why? Because they haven't put in the time to experiment with their own brands before working on a clients brand. Clients pay you for results, not to treat them as a science project. My best advice to any marketer would be to get in the trenches, get dirty, and experiment on your own time. I once got banned off of Reddit for being "that guy". It was the best thing that could have happened because it taught me what to do and what not to do. Now, I will recommend Reddit as a legitimate growth channel for clients because I have the practical experience to backup my recommendation. As Dale Carnegie once quoted, "Knowledge isn't power until it is applied." #marketing

Now that it is a little bit less than a month away; I am SUPER excited to share with all of you LinkedIn friends that I will be a panel speaker at the Community-Led Alliance Summit in Boston on April 11th and 12th! To give you a little sneak peek, here are just a few of my thoughts on harnessing the power of a brand-moderated subreddit community: In my experience, Reddit can be a tool to get one-on-one feedback from customers who care about your product the most. At Loop Earplugs, I was able to scale our Reddit community from practically zero to over 6,000 active Loopers in less than a year, averaging 100,000 organic impressions monthly with no paid push. These impressions are more valuable than other social impressions, as they help consumers see real-life people talk about your product just because they love it. Our Reddit community is a THRIVING place where new and old Loopers can come together.
