The Brienne of Tarth Loyalty Award! At Whistler Partners, we go beyond just making placements; we prioritize building meaningful connections with our candidates, ensuring their career goals and personal values are aligned. Introducing The Brienne of Tarth Loyalty Award! Our new quarterly recognition award where our recruiters nominate candidates who have demonstrated outstanding 𝐥𝐨𝐲𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐲 throughout their legal career and lateral process. Our first recipient for Q1 2024 (chosen randomly!) reflects the trust we aim to build with all our candidates. Throughout his lateral process, despite receiving numerous emails and calls from recruiters, he chooses to rely exclusively on the network and industry reach of Whistler Partners. He forwards each email he receives from other recruiters to Sean Burke and Jordan Rosenberg, asking, 'Do you know what this role could be about?' He does not seek career assistance from other recruiting agencies; instead, he trusts our team's industry expertise, solidifying our role as his sole, committed career agent. In recognition of his loyalty, we have made a $5,000 donation to Citymeals on Wheels, a charity he passionately supports. If you're considering a lateral move, connect with Whistler Partners! Your loyalty to us could put you in the running for the Q2 (or Q3 or Q4!) Brienne of Tarth Loyalty Award and a donation of $5,000 to the charity of your choice. #whistlerpartners #happylawyersclub

🔔 Knock, Knock Who’s there? 👋 It’s Charity People. LET US IN! If you’re working with an agency or thinking about working with one, the way to get real value and bang for your buck is to let us in. Let us SEE you – not just in person (although we always love that!), but really see you. We need the whole story so we can paint a vivid, real-life picture for candidates. If we’re not excited about your charity and role, how can we enthuse anyone else? A job spec is just not enough. Things we need to know to help you find a brilliant candidate: ✅ Benefits package (that’s more than the salary and holidays!) ✅ Culture (staff engagement surveys, wellbeing and how you look after people) ✅ ED&I strategy – what’s representation like right now and where do you want to be? ✅ Cool campaigns, initiatives and your big vision for the future ✅ Learning and development opportunities ✅ Expectations, KPIs and how performance is measured ✅ The good, the bad and the ugly – folks really do want the whole story Charity People, feel free to add to the list of things you love telling your candidates about! Yesterday I had a lovely chat with a candidate who said it was refreshing to speak to a recruiter who sounded like they actually knew the organisation. And I do because I can't work any other way now. I feel confident and enthusiastic talking about my charity partners because they let me into their wonderful worlds. 🎉 Shout out to all the charities who let me in and allow me to be part of their team for a few weeks. I'm genuinely grateful - THANK YOU. #CharityJobs #CharitySector #CharityPeople #Recruitment #HelpUsToHelpYou

I help charities and churches find remarkable employees | Trustee of Our Street Our Children | People Enthusiast | Speaker | Networker | Coffee Lover
I once turned down a job offer that seemed like a perfect fit The organisation made two mistakes that I know some other #charities make to: 👎 They #faffed about 👎 They were not transparent in their #communications Here's what happened: I was approached for a role that matched my skills and experience The interviews went very well and I felt confident But then came the silence A week later I followed up, yet no response 🤷♂️ Days turned into weeks and I assumed I had been unsuccessful I therefore started applying elsewhere A #charity invited me for an interview Then two days later that charity offered me the role which I accepted - whoop! 🙌 However, two days after that the initial organisation got in touch At this point it has been over #30days since my interview The conversation went a bit like this: Them: "We are very sorry for the delay, there were a few things we needed to sort out. We however, would love to offer you the role!" Me: "Thanks for the offer, however, as I hadn't heard anything I assumed I didn't get the role and have just been offered a position elsewhere." They seemed shocked! They even tried to convince me to take their role instead I however declined as I had already given my word elsewhere The lack of transparent communication and faffing about meant this organisation wasted 3 months of time and resources They then had to restart the recruitment process from scratch! Let's strive for #efficiency and avoid unnecessary delays in our recruitment campaigns! If your recruitment process is experiencing delays then be #honest and #transparent with your candidates It's the respectful thing to do and increases the likelihood of your campaigns success 🎉 Have you ever turned down a #joboffer? If so, why? #charityjobs #candidateexperience #stopfaffing

January recruitment campaign? How did it go? Well I hope! I know some great roles have been filled, with Jobs with Purpose playing a part by introducing some pretty special staff to some great purpose driven employers. More often than not, Jobs with Purpose introduce people who would not have applied through the usual routes. We get to know everyone involved. There's no automation. No targets. No sales. No nonsense. No fees without success. No extortionate pricing. The best part? It's such a pleasure to play a part in each person's career journey and at the same time, contribute to great causes and often essential support for vulnerable people. Since moving from working directly in leadership roles in non-profits for over 20 years, I feel part of every team I work with. It's a real privilege. If you'd like to explore trying out Jobs with Purpose to support your campaign (UK wide), let's organise a chat and I can let you know about some of the great successes from the last 18 months and see if you'd like to give us a try. Drop me a message or email [email protected] and let's have a chat. #jobswithpurpose #charityjobs #nonprofitjobs #thirdsectorjobs

Internal Recruitment “VS” Agency Recruitment I love working in-house and have done so for many years now but it's always valuable to connect with our partner agency recruiters like Jake Parsons to gain deeper insights into the current market. Thank you, Jake, for your time today; it was incredibly informative. Despite our familiarity with our own charity, The Prince's Trust, and knowing which roles are easier to fill than others, agency recruiters often offer a broader perspective. They engage with more candidates and possess a deeper understanding of the other companies and charities that they represent. So although we don’t always use our partner agencies to support with our recruitment needs, they are valuable for market intelligence. Given the ever-changing nature of the market, it's important to recognise shifts across all sectors and positions. Although Covid may seem like a thing of the past, my conversation with Jake highlighted lingering repercussions, particularly within the charity sector. He mentioned potential talent gaps, especially in fundraising, as individuals who left during the pandemic may not have ever returned. These discussions underscore the importance of staying attuned to market dynamics and adapting our recruitment strategies accordingly. A changing market certainly keeps things interesting. What are your thoughts on this? #princestrust #changingmarket #talentacquisitiontrends
